From Memorial day through October 1st, the Amish plant beautiful gardens patterned by favorite quilts. The tour is 90 miles long. We will see four of these gardens near Shipshewana. The flea market offers lots of bargains, but you can also walk the short distance to the downtown shops and mingle with the Amish people who arrive in horse-drawn buggies. Lunch is on your own. Dinner will be served family style at Das Dutchman Essenhaus, which includes chicken, roast beef, vegetables, and homemade pie. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring your camera. This trip is a co-op with the Clarendon Hills Park District. Transportation by: Executive Coach
