You can pick up fresh veggies, fruits, and herbs grown in the Prairie Patch on Tuesdays through Aug. 28.

DARIEN, IL — The Prairie Patch at Indian Prairie Library will have Garden Giveaways on Tuesdays through August. According to the library, you can pick up fresh veggies, fruits, and herbs grown in the Prairie Patch.
The Prairie Patch provides local families with access to fresh food. Local gardeners can also share their excess food too. You can drop off extra tomatoes, zucchini, mint - or whatever you’re growing - to the library on Tuesdays prior to the giveaway and it will be shared with the community. All food left at the end of the night will be donated to local pantries.
The last Garden Giveaway will be held Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
