Good Samaritan Targeted At Darien Store: Police

DARIEN, IL — Helping a fellow customer at Darien's Walmart ended up as a bad experience for a customer at Darien's Walmart last week. The helper found her wallet was gone.

About 4 p.m. Friday, when the victim was in the vitamin aisle, a man asked the victim for help getting some items from a top shelf, stating his hands hurt and that he could not do it himself, according to a police report.

The victim helped the man and then left the area. When the victim went to pay, it was then that she noticed her wallet missing, police said.
