Gun And Holster Stolen In Darien: Cops
The theft happened at some point over two days, police said.
DARIEN, IL — A gun and a holster were stolen from a car last week in Darien, police said.
The theft occurred between 8:30 a.m. Aug 3 and 11 a.m. Aug. 5. The loss was estimated at $400. Police did not describe the gun. The owner of the gun lives in the 7500 block of Farmingdale Drive.
Asked by Patch whether the vehicle was secured, Police Chief Greg Thomas said it was most likely unlocked.

"On August 3rd, the vehicle was driven to different places and parked," Thomas said in an email. "The owner believes he locked the car each time getting out, except he remembers not locking it at one place as he was away from the car a short time."
