Handguns Stolen, DUIs: Darien Police Reports

Darien Police reports through Oct. 3.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Sept. 26

  • A front passenger window was broken on a car and a purse was stolen while the car was parked at Darien Community Park sometime between 5:45 and 6:11 p.m. The loss is $650.

  • Two handguns were removed from a home in the 7700 block of Cass Avenue. Entry was made through the sliding door sometime between 3 and 11 p.m. The loss is $650.

Sept. 30

  • Victor Nunez, 32, of Aurora, was arrested at 2:17 a.m. at Cass and Plainfield Road for DUI-alcohol, minimum speed regulations (he was going 20 mph in a 40 mph zone), improper lane use and improper turn. Nunez was processed and released with a court date of Nov. 6 at DuPage County Judicial Center.
  • An unknown male stole four bottles of cognac from Darien Liquors, 8125 Cass Ave., at 2:31 p.m. The offender’s vehicle was last seen on southbound Cass Avenue. The approximate loss is $404.

  • Marko Martinovski, 27, of Willow Springs, was arrested at 11:34 a.m. at Cass and 75th Street for driving while license suspended. Martinovski was processed and released with a court date for Downers Grove Traffic Court to be mailed.

Oct. 3

  • Jose Juan Arambula-Aguilera, 42, of Westmont, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. in the 7100 block of Cass for two counts of DUI-alcohol, driving while license suspended, open alcohol and failure to signal. Arambula-Aguilera was processed and released with a court date of Nov. 6 at DuPage County Judicial Center.
