Hinsdale Police Give 34 Seat Belt Citations, 38 Speeding Citations

The Hinsdale Police Department reported successful Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilizations.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Hinsdale Police Department strictly enforced seatbelt and impaired driving laws.

From Nov. 17 to 30, the departments enacted Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilizations, according to a news release.

During the mobilization, the Hinsdale Police Department issued:

  • 34 seat belt citations
  • 1 DUI arrest
  • 3 suspended/revoked licenses
  • 1 uninsured motorists
  • 38 speeding citations
  • 1 drug arrests

“Our officers are out all year long. If you or your passengers are caught not wearing a seat belt, day or night, you will be cited for the safety violation,” said Deputy Chief Mark Wodka in the news release.
