Hinsdale Police Reports: Identity Theft, DUI, Invalid Driver's License

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Dec. 2.

An identity thief used a victim’s identity between Sept. 20 and Oct. 19 to open an AT&T account, according to Hinsdale police. The account had an outstanding balance of $522.37.

Hinsdale police arrested a 17-year-old male on Nov. 29 for driving with an invalid driver’s license because of curfew restrictions, according to police. Police also arrested Joseph C Barry, age 18 of 308 E 55th St., Apt 4, Westmont, for unlawful use of alcohol by person under 21. Police stopped the juvenile for making an improper turn near 55th Street and Madison Street, and Barry was observed to be under the influence of alcohol. Both were charged and released to parents.

Hinsdale police arrested Jose Everardo Herrera Gurrola, age 42 of 1724 N 17th Ave., Melrose Park, on Nov. 30 for driving under the influence. Police pulled him over at Route 83 and Ogden Avenue for improper lane use, and he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, according to police. He submitted to testing, and he didn’t have a valid driver’s license. Gurrola was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, improper lane use and no valid driver’s license.

An identity thief used a victim’s identity between Sept. 20 and Oct. 19 to open five checking accounts, according to Hinsdale police.
