Hinsdale Police Reports: Missing Jewelry, Car Burglary, Hit-and-Run

Two rings valued at $8,850 went missing from a jewelry box between Feb. 1 and 11 at a home in the 1400 block of Fox Lane, according to Hinsdale police. The house was being shown by a realtor during the time the rings went missing.

A car in the commuter parking lot in the 10 block of East Burlington Drive had an altered license plate sticker Feb. 27, according to Hinsdale police. Officers had been dispatched for a complaint of a car parked in a taxi parking only spot.

Someone smashed the passenger side window of a car Feb. 28 in a McDonald’s parking lot on North York Road, according to Hinsdale police. The burglar stole a purse that contained about $150 in prepaid credit cards, a social security card and a driver’s license, police reported.

Someone hit a parked car Feb. 28 at 21 Spinning Wheel Road and left without leaving information, according to Hinsdale police. The suspect’s car was described as a tan sedan driven by a white man who looked about 70 years old.

Dragan Gjorgievski, age 30 of the 6400 block of Clarendon Hills Road, Willowbrook, was arrested Feb. 28 for drunken driving, according to Hinsdale police. Gjorgievski was stopped for improper lane use and speeding, and he submitted to testing that showed he was over the legal limit, police reported. He was charged and released to appear in court.

A victim reported that he traded cars with someone he found online, with the agreement that the suspect would assume the title loan on the victim’s car, according to Hinsdale police. The victim reported the suspect didn’t pay off the title loan, and the suspect was accumulating red light tickets with the victim’s vehicle registration between July 1, 2014, and Feb. 26, 2015, according to police. The victim left his license plates on the car when the trade took place.
