A thief stole $40 cash between Nov. 15 and Nov. 17 from the room of a patient at Hinsdale Manor Care, according to Hinsdale police.

A woman tried to pay for groceries Nov. 19 with a counterfeit $100 bill at the Whole Foods Market on Ogden Avenue, according to Hinsdale police. The woman left the store without groceries when she was told the $100 bill was fake.

Hinsdale police arrested Amanda A Miller, 19 years old of 404 Chicago Avenue, Downers Grove, on Nov. 19 for possession of drug paraphernalia. Police stopped Miller on Ogden Avenue and York Road during a seat belt check, and they smelled burnt cannabis in her car. Miller had a glass pipe with burnt residue, according to police.

Someone damaged a passenger side door mirror between Nov. 20 and Nov. 21 on a car parked in front of a residence on the 5700 block of S Park.
