Hinsdale Police Reports: Underage Drinking, Phone Theft, DUI

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Feb. 24

Someone got into a car and rummaged through the glovebox Feb. 17 in the 600 block of South Adams Street, according to Hinsdale police. Nothing was reported missing, but a CD case and 46 CDs were found in the passenger seat. They didn’t belong to the car’s owner, police reported.

A woman in her 20s with brown hair in a ponytail driving a gold Toyota hit a parked car while backing out of a space Feb. 19 at Fuller Road and Elm Street, according to Hinsdale police.

Denise L Davis-Brown, age 40 of the 100 block of Springleaf Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested and charged with theft under $500 Feb. 19, according to Hinsdale police. A ManorCare employee reported her cell phone was missing from an employee break room, and she was able to track her phone to her co-worker’s address. The phone was returned, and Davis-Brown was charged and released to appear in court, police reported.

Walter S Krawczyk, age 49 of the 7600 block of Baimbridge Drive, Downers Grove, was arrested Feb. 21 for drunken driving on Route 83 and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Overpass, according to Hinsdale police. He was charged with DUI, DUI greater than .08 and improper lane use, police reported. He was charged and released to appear in court.

Three male juveniles and an 18-year-old woman were arrested Feb. 21 in the 100 block of South County Line Road and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by person under 21, according to Hinsdale police. The male juveniles are from Hinsdale, two of them are 15 years old and one is 16. The woman is Anna Jabionski, age 18 of the 300 block of Harris Avenue, Clarendon Hills, police reported. The four of them were passengers in a car that was stopped for speeding. The driver was cited for speeding and failure to secure passengers. The passengers submitted to testing that showed they had consumed alcohol, they were charged and released to parents, police reported.

A victim reported his car was damaged while it was parked Feb. 23 in the 10 block of East Ogden Avenue, according to Hinsdale police. The car had a minor dent and paint scratches consistent with another car opening a door into it.
