Hinsdale South Teacher Dies, School Closes: School
The school closed late Monday morning. A message was sent to parents.
DARIEN, IL – Hinsdale South High School closed at 11:30 a.m. Monday because a teacher died, the school confirmed.
"We are deeply saddened to share that a respected Hinsdale South High School teacher passed away this morning, following a medical emergency at the school," Hinsdale High School District 86 said in a public statement early Monday afternoon. "As a result of the medical emergency, Hinsdale South students were dismissed early today. Students and staff were welcomed to remain in the building to meet with counseling staff, if needed. Those supports will continue to be available."
