Instead of exiting, Carson backed up, almost hitting two police officers and striking a squad car parked next to hers, police said.
Carson then headed north on Clarendon Hills Road, with officers pursuing her, prosecutors said. She is accused of reaching 60 mph in a 30 mph zone.
She continued driving to a Clarendon Hills apartment complex in the block where police say she lives.
Carson tried to run into the building, but was caught, police said.
When police tried to put her in handcuffs, she bit an officer and kicked two others, police said.
She faces felony charges of aggravated battery and aggravated fleeing and eluding an officer, as well as multiple misdemeanor and petty offenses.
A DuPage County judge ordered her to stay in jail until she goes to trial.
