Hotel Theft, Shoplifting: Darien Cops

A theft of items is reported in a room at WoodSpring Suites, police said.

DARIEN, IL — Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

  • A number of items were stolen from a room between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Jan. 10 at WoodSpring Suites, 951 N. Frontage Road. The items were valued at $520.
  • Nicole Jones, 25, of Bellwood, was cited about 3:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. According to a police report, Jones was under-ringing items at the self-checkout aisle. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Cassandra Readus, 26, of Willowbrook, was cited about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Michael Hayden, 52, of Darien, was cited about 10 a.m. Jan. 12 at Plainfield and Clarendon Hills roads on charges of driving with a revoked license and no brake lights. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Alexis Thompson, 28, of Woodridge, was cited about 2 p.m. Jan. 13 on Lemont Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. According to a police report, Thompson was speeding 55 mph in a 40 mph zone. Thompson was released and given a date to appear in court.
