House Burglary, Retail Theft: Darien Police

Unlocked cars in Darien neighborhood were burglarized.

DARIEN, IL — The Darien Police Department released its latest reports. Here is information from the blotter:

  • A residential burglary occurred early the morning of April 8 in the 8300 block of Portsmouth Drive. The victim said an unlocked window was heard being opened at 3 a.m. No property appears to be missing.
  • An unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 7800 block of Sawyer Road was burglarized between 7:30 p.m. April 1 and 7:45 a.m. April 2. About $20 in change was taken.
  • Unlocked cars in a driveway in the 7700 block of Sawyer Road were burglarized between 5 p.m. April 1 and 8 a.m. April 2. The loss is unknown. Officers spotted the problem while canvassing the neighborhood after receiving a call about a burglary in the 7700 block of Sawyer.
  • An unlocked car parked in a driveway was burglarized between 8 p.m. April 1 and 8 a.m. April 2. The loss is unknown. Officers spotted the problem while canvassing the neighborhood after receiving a call about a burglary in the 7700 block of Sawyer.
