Indian Prairie Library Honors Veterans
Preserving the history of veterans and a musical salute program.

Indian Prairie Public Library has had the privilege to interview and record the stories of over 100 local veterans that served in conflicts from World War II to present. The library sends the original recordings to the American Folklife Center, and we digitize a copy for the community to be able to appreciate on our Veterans History page ().
If you or someone you know is a U.S. veteran, the library would love to collect and preserve their experience as part of the Library of Congress Veterans History Project. To participate or find our more, contact Joe Popowitch at 630/887-0637 or email joep@ippl.info.
The community is invited to join in via Zoom for a special Veterans Day program. Registration is required.
