Blood donation saves 12,000 human lives a day. Donors must be at least 110 pounds and in good health. Donors must be 16+; under 18 with parent permission. Masks and social distancing will be enforced. Schedule an appointment today by calling Vitalant at 877/258- 4825 or through their website at vitalant.org and use group code 398G. Those who donate will have their blood tested for COVID-19 antibodies, which could save additional lives.
The community also can contribute to the library’s rich history collection from the comfort of home. The library is collecting and preserving stories of how COVID-19 has affected daily lives. Everyone’s story is important and can help future generations understand the significance of the pandemic. Stories should be submitted at ippl.info/covid-19-stories.
