It's Time for Vacation Bible School!
St. John Lutheran Church in Darien looks forward to hosting its annual VBS for community families in July.
St. John Lutheran Church at 7214 South Cass Avenue in Darien, IL will host its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) on Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. It will offer classes for fully toilet-trained three-year-olds through children in sixth grade.
Children will make new friends and have lots of fun as they explore this year’s theme “Journey with Jesus.” Children will take an amazing trip through God’s Word to encounter Jesus on the road He walked for our salvation. Bible-based lessons will show the children how God used all of Jesus’ travel experiences to lead His people to Him and a home in heaven. They will enjoy stories, puppet shows, games, snacks, crafts, and music. A free Family Fun Night featuring a hot dog supper and program by the children will be held as a culminating event on Thursday, July 23 at 6:00 p.m.
There is a materials fee of $20.00 per family regardless of the number of children for those registering on or before July 7. The fee is $25.00 for those registering after that date or at the door. Online registration is available at www.sjlcdarien.org. Payment will be made when you check in on the first day.

St. John’s VBS is viewed as an opportunity for community outreach and joy-filled service for congregational members. VBS volunteers are once again ready to share the love of Jesus and Word of God with many neighborhood youth.
