Knitting and Spinning and Macrame, Oh My!

Fiber Arts Fest at Indian Prairie Public Library on Aug. 19

Have you ever wondered how a sweater or mittens get made? Find out during the Fiber Arts Fest at the Indian Prairie Public Library on Saturday, Aug. 19, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. See the many ways that fiber is transformed, from knitting and spinning to macramé and more. Plus, meet two alpacas – Rosie and Roselita from White Fence Farm in Romeoville! The event will include workshops and demos for all ages, plus a special Yarn Storytime from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Activities and classes are designed for kids, teens, and adults, but children younger than grade 6 may need help and should be accompanied by an adult.
