Latest DUI Arrests in Darien: Cops

One man was found sleeping at McDonald's, report says.

DARIEN, IL — Darien police arrested three people in recent days on DUI charges. Here is information from the reports:

  • Thomas Sweeney, 35, of Willowbrook, was arrested about 4 a.m. July 11 in the parking lot of McDonald's, 809 Plainfield Road, on a charge of DUI. According to a police report, he was sleeping in his car. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Bridget Mooney, 50, of Chicago, was arrested about 3 a.m. Friday on Lemont Road on charges of DUI, disobeying a traffic control signal and improper lane usage. According to a police report, an officer saw her sit at a traffic signal for a full cycle of lights, then proceed through a red light. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • John Berg, 30, of Hammond, Indiana, was arrested about 4 a.m. Friday near Cass Avenue and Concord Place on charges of DUI and operating a vehicle in an unsafe condition. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
