Retail Theft, Attempted Burglary: Darien Cops
Woman conceal items in their purses and leave store, report says.

DARIEN, IL — Here are the latest Darien Police Department reports:
- Sharhonda Bryant, 22, of Plainfield, and Krista Petraitis, 20, of Oak Lawn, were arrested Nov. 15 on charges of retail theft. Police were called about 10:30 a.m. after employees noticed the women concealing items in their purses and on their bodies before leaving the store. The items were valued at $83. They were given a notice to appear in court.
- Calvin Wright, 57, of Chicago, was arrested Nov. 13 in the 2300 block of Oilfield Road on charges of no driver's license, driving with a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage. He was stopped about 2:20 p.m. after crossing onto the painted median and driving into oncoming lanes of traffic in a no-passing zone.

- An attempted house burglary was reported Nov. 17 in the 8300 block of Portsmouth Drive. The homeowner told police a window screen was pushed over to the opposite side of the window well. No property appeared missing.
- Three bicycles were stolen from a storage area in the 1100 block of Hinswood Drive. The theft was reported shortly before 1 p.m. Nov. 16.
