Lincoln Street Closed from Hinsdale Avenue to Chestnut Street

Lincoln Street will be closed from Hinsdale Avenue to Chestnut Street until May 7 while a new water main is installed.

The closure includes the place where Lincoln Street crosses the railroad tracks, according to the Village of Hinsdale.

The sidewalks will be open during this phase of the construction. Metra parking lot access will not be affected, but some metered parking on Lincoln Street won’t be available.

All street parking will be prohibited between the project limits of First Street to North Street as construction progresses.

Other parts of the project include water main installation, water service transfers, pavement patching, milling, and resurfacing, according to the village.

The full project is expected to be complete in late June.
