Mailbox Damaged On Evergreen Lane: Cops

Criminal Damage to Property
At 10:30 p.m. on April 24 an officer was dispatched to 8400 block of Evergreen Lane for a criminal
damage to property. Victim advised a loud noise was heard at 4:00 p.m. Unknown offender(s) damaged the mailbox by unknown means. The approximate damage to the mailbox was $1,000.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle
At 9:40 p.m. on April 24 an officer while on patrol in the 8300 block of Highpoint Circle observed a
male offender in the unlocked passenger side of a vehicle parked in a driveway. The offender ran and the officer was unable to apprehend the subject. Victim reported nothing was missing from the vehicle.

At 7:58 a.m. on April 30 an officer was dispatched to 1000 block of Parkcrest Drive for a burglaryfrom motor vehicle. Sometime April 29 at 5:30 p.m. to April 30 at 7:50 a.m. unknown offender(s) stole an Ipass from a vehicle parked on the street. The loss is $40 no other information at this time.
At 11:19 a.m. on April 30 an officer was dispatched to 1000 block of Bob-O-Link Lane for a delayedburglary to motor vehicle. At 4:12 a.m. unknown offender(s) entered the unlocked vehicleparked in the driveway. Victim advised nothing appears missing at this time.
Theft
At 2:40 p.m. on April 27 an officer was dispatched to Sally’s Beauty Supply, 2125 75th St. for a
theft of credit cards from an employee’s purse. The employee was alerted to fraudulent activity by her credit card company. The cards were later recovered from Shell Station, 7505 Route 83, Willowbrook.
Retail Theft
At 5:02 p.m. on April 28 an officer was dispatched to Jewel, 7335 Cass Avenue for a delayed retail
theft. Store manager was advised by a customer on April 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. two female white offenders pushed a cart full of merchandise out of the store without paying, an attempt to locate was unsuccessful. The estimated loss was $900. On April 28 at 4:55 p.m. the store manager was alerted by a customer again that two female whites were leaving the store with merchandise without paying. The estimated loss was $1,000. A check of store video shows the offender(s) appeared to be the same for both days.
At 2:20 p.m. on April 30 an officer was dispatched to Walmart, 2189 75th for a delayed theft. Loss prevention advised at 2:40 a.m. store video shows a unknown male white offender enter the store and steal 52 pack(s) of Newport cigarettes which were concealed in a Walmart bag. Offender exited store with bag concealed under coat. Offender left in a 2012 White Toyota Corolla. The approximate loss was $390.52 no other information at this time.
Attempted Retail Theft
At 4:52 p.m. on April 29 an officer was dispatched to Jewel, 7335 Cass Ave. for an attempted
retail theft. A store manager advised an offender from two previous retail theft(s) was in the store. Management questioned the male white offender then followed the offender out of the store after no payment was made and the stolen property was recovered out in the parking lot. The offender(s) left the scene in a sedan. The recovered property total was $334.93 no other information at this time.
Burglary
At 12:12 a.m. on April 30 an officer was dispatched to a burglary at Patriot Gaming, 801 Plainfield
Road. Victim advised on April 29, 2019 between 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. unknown offender
entered the business by smashing a lockbox and using the key to gain entry, once inside
a bottle of alcohol was stolen. The approximate loss was $50.
Residential Burglary
At 8:35 a.m. on May 1 an officer was dispatched to 2300 block of Kerry Lane for a burglary from
motor vehicle. Homeowner advised at 8:35 a.m. the garage door was found open. Home video shows a male black offender at 5:23 a.m. removing a garage door opener from an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway and entering garage. Offender stole $10 from unlocked vehicle in garage and left. The approximate loss is $10 no other information at this time.
