Man Accused Of Theft At Darien Marijuana Shop: Cops

In another case, a local man was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Theft

  • A 26-year-old Plainfield man was cited about 1 p.m. Friday at High Haven, 8131 Cass Ave., on a charge of theft. High Haven is a marijuana dispensary. The man was released and given a date to appear in court. Patch filed a public records request for the report.

Domestic battery

  • A 27-year-old man from the 1100 block of 75th Street in Darien was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Plainfield Road on a charge of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUIs

  • A 35-year-old Burr Ridge man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 7900 block of Cass Avenue on charges of DUI and speeding. He was clocked speeding 54 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 30-year-old Joliet man was arrested about 9 p.m. Oct. 19 near Frontage and Bailey roads on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was involved in a single-car crash. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 45-year-old Downers Grove man was arrested about 1 a.m. Monday in the 7400 block of Adams Street on a charge of DUI. He had one working headlight and was seen speeding 64 mph in a 40 mph zone on Cass Avenue. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • A vehicle was burglarized between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday at Chuck's Southern Comforts Café, 8025 S. Cass Ave. Clothing and a chainsaw were stolen from the bed of the vehicle.
