Man Accused Of Trespassing Twice At Same Darien Business

In another case, a man sleeping behind the wheel smelled of alcohol, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Trespassing twice

  • A 47-year-old Chicago man was cited about 6 p.m. Thursday on a charge of criminal trespass to land. Police said the incident occurred at the Speedway gas station, 7502 Cass Ave. The man was charged again with trespassing about 9 p.m. Friday at the same place. Both times, he was given a court date and then released.

  • About 12:30 a.m. Sunday, an officer noticed a car parked at North Frontage and Bailey roads. The driver, a 20-year-old Chicago man, was sleeping, with the officer noticing a strong odor of alcohol, police said. The man was arrested on charges of DUI, illegal consumption of alcohol, and illegal stopping, standing or parking on the roadway. The man was given a court date and then released.
