Man Accused Of Trying To Break Into Darien House: Police

The suspect was seen using a crowbar to break into a house, report says.

DARIEN, IL — A Rosemont man was arrested earlier this week in connection with an attempted burglary in Darien, police said.

About 7 a.m. Sunday, police went to the 8300 block of Mystic Trace Drive after a resident called to say a man was using a crowbar to break into a neighbor's house through the back door, according to a Darien police report. The man was last seen on foot headed toward Cass Avenue.

Officers later found the man, identified as Jason Howard, 48. He was charged with attempted residential burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Howard was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
