Through surveillance video and interviews with witnesses, police said they identified Anderson as the suspect. Anderson was with Lewis on Country Club Drive when Anderson shot him, police said. Anderson then left in a black Nissan sedan.

About 5:30 a.m. the next day, authorities executed a search warrant at Anderson's home, where they found guns, including two 9mm 3D-printed "ghost guns," one of which was loaded, according to the news release. Anderson was then arrested.

A lab analysis showed the shell casings provided "very strong support" that Anderson was a contributor to the DNA profile, prosecutors said.

The site of the shooting is about a mile west of Darien.
