Man Arrested After Hit-And-Run Crash That Involved 4 Cars

A Westmont man faces an aggravated driving under the influence charge.

WESTMONT, IL - A Westmont man faces an aggravated driving under the influence charge after a crash involving four cars last week. John Egas, 26, of Westmont was charged after police found the car he was allegedly driving in the 6700 block of Cass Avenue around 8:15 a.m. on April 3.

In a report, Westmont police said the car driven by Egas was the "offending vehicle in the crash, which was described in the report as a hit-and-run. After his arrest, Egas was also charged with aggravated driving with a revoked license and cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of the accident.
