Man Arrested In Darien On Battery, Assault Charges
In other action, Darien police made two DUI arrests in the last few days.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:
Battery and assault
- Lee English, 56, of Tinley Park, was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday at WoodSpring Suites, 951 North Frontage Road, on two counts each of battery and assault. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Marijuana possession

- A 31-year-old woman from Willowbrook was cited Sept. 20 in the 8300 block of Cass Avenue on charges of marijuana possession, driving on the wrong side of the road and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
DUIs
- A 25-year-old woman from Woodridge was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at 75th Street and Cass Avenue on charges of DUI, speeding, disobeying a traffic signal and improper lane usage. She was seen speeding 69 mph in a 45 mph zone. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A 35-year-old woman from Woodridge was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and transportation of open alcohol. She was seen swerving over the dividing line toward oncoming traffic near Plainfield Road and Seminole Drive. She was stopped on Winter Circle.

- A 26-year-old man from Willowbrook was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at 71st Street and Cass Avenue on a Cook County warrant charging DUI. He was stopped for an expired registration. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
