Angry Couponer Hits Walmart Employee In Darien: Cops

Police said Eliot Del Longo, 76, of Chicago hit a Walmart employee during an argument about a coupon in Darien.

DARIEN, IL — A Chicago man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly struck a Walmart employee in an argument over a coupon. Darien Police charged Eliot Del Longo, 76, of the 100 block of 60th St., with disorderly conduct in connection with the incident.

According to a police summary, Del Longo was at the Walmart at 2189 75th St. in Darien around 2 p.m. when he and an employee got into a dispute about a coupon Del Longo had presented. Police were called to the scene when the employee was allegedly struck by Del Longo.

Del Longo was taken into custody on charges of disorderly conduct and is currently awaiting a court date.
