Man Pushed At Darien Store; Substance Sprayed On Car
In another case, a man hit a squad car in a local neighborhood, police said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handle cases involving a battery, a squad car being hit, domestic battery, a DUI, theft and a disturbance. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Battery
- A man told police that someone else exchanged words with him and pushed him about 6 p.m. April 23 at Walmart, 2189 75th St. An adhesive substance was sprayed on the man's car.

- Someone hit a parked Darien police car about 9:30 a.m. Friday in the 7000 block of Beechnut Lane. A 45-year-old Cicero man was cited on a charge of damage to city property. He was given a court date.
Domestic battery
- A 33-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 1100 block of 69th Street was arrested about 9 p.m. April 22 at her house on two domestic battery counts. Police said she made physical contact with another family member. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI

- A 61-year-old Lockport woman was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Saturday on Plainfield Road on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. A police officer saw that two cars had crashed. The woman was given a court date and then released.
Theft
- A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle Friday at Air Ducts Done Right, 8412 Wilmette Ave. The loss was estimated at $2,000.
- A Navimow robotic lawnmower was reported stolen Saturday at a house in the 1400 block of Darien Club Drive. The loss was estimated at $930.
Disturbance
- Police were called for a disturbance about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 8100 block of Hinswood Drive. A 26-year-old Chicago man was cited on a disorderly conduct charge.
