Man Sleeping In Darien Neighborhood Arrested: Cops

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their weekly blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Drug possession

• Police were called about a suspicious car about 10:30 p.m. April 16 in the 1000 block of 79th Street. The car was parked away from the curb, with the driver sleeping. The driver, a 20-year-old Willowbrook man, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Order violation

• A 34-year-old Darien woman who lives at the Extended Stay America hotel, 2345 Sokol Court, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. April 17 on a charge of violating an order of protection. Police were called about a domestic disturbance at the hotel. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
