Man Steals 4 Apple TV Receivers From Walmart: Darien Police Blotter Oct. 9 Through 13

A thief swiped four Apple TV receivers from Walmart and a fight broke out at Speedway.

DARIEN, IL — The following items were taken from the Darien Police blotter and includes items that took place between Oct. 9 and Oct. 13.

Delayed Retail Theft

On October 9, at approximately 12:11 pm., a Walmart employee told the store's loss prevention team that they had witnessed a man committing retail theft. Security reviewed surveillance footage and saw a man remove four Apple TV receivers and put them in a backpack. They reported that the man then threw the backpack over a fence in the store's garden department, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male; no further description was provided.

Police responded to a fight that broke out at the Speedway at 10250 Lemont Rd. on October 9 just after 11p.m. After an investigation, they arrested James Parsons, 39, of the 100 block of Indian Wood Blvd. in Park Forest. Parsons was charged with disorderly conduct. He was later released and is awaiting a court date.

Disorderly Conduct

A juvenile allegedly hit another customer at Walmart, 2189 75th St. on the afternoon of October 11. Police took the offender, a 16-year-old white male from Lemont, into custody and charged him with disorderly conduct. He was released to his parents and is awaiting a court date.
