Man Swipes $1K In Emergency Contraceptive Meds In Darien

DARIEN, IL — Police are looking for a man who stole nearly $1,000 in emergency contraceptives from a Walgreens in Darien Tuesday. Police say the man fled from the 8300 Lemont store in a black SUV after the theft.

According to a police summary, the suspect entered the store at approximately 5:40 p.m. He then took 21 boxes of Plan B One-Step, police say, placed them into a basket, and left the store without paying. The total loss was estimated at $969.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5'7" tall and 125 pounds with a teardrop tattoo by his left eye. He was last seen wearing long gray pants, a black down-style jacket, and a stocking cap. He was driving a black SUV.
