Masked Suspects Rob Darien Store: Police

DARIEN, IL — Two masked and hooded suspects robbed Speedway convenience store, 8301 Lemont Road, last Thursday night, according to a Darien police report. About 11 p.m., the men entered the store and demanded money from the safe and register, the report said.

The suspects took money and cigarettes and left in a white SUV, police said. The loss was estimated at $1,500. No weapon was "displayed or implied," Chief Greg Thomas said in an email. Police said they had no other information about the robbery.
