Model Show And Swap Meet Set For Jan. 20 In Darien

DARIEN, IL — Two levels of St. John Lutheran Church will be packed with model railroad cars, airplanes, and vehicles for the Church's annual Model Show and Swap Meet. The day long event will take place on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will offer plenty of entertainment for the whole family.

More than 60 vendors will be on hand to sell plastic railroad models, plane kits, and other items for the model enthusiast. There will also be two full working model railroads set up for visitors to check out.

The event will offer food to keep families fueled as they check out all the items. Raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win prizes at the end of the Model Show and Swap Meet.

The cost is $5 for adults 18 years and older to attend and $2 for kids 12 to 17 years old. Children under 12 get free admission and so do boy and girl scouts if they come dressed in uniform.
