Moms Connect
St. John Lutheran Church invites all area moms to a newly formed Bible-based support group on Fridays, beginning September 15.

St. John Lutheran Church at 7214 South Cass Avenue in Darien, IL will sponsor a new Bible-based support group called Moms Connect beginning on Friday, September 15, 2017. The group will meet weekly from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Activities will be planned and facilitated by Deaconess Phaedra Serbus, a wife, mother, and Director of Youth Ministries.
This is the perfect opportunity for one to network with other local moms while gaining support, encouragement, and equipping from God’s Word for her vocation as parent. It will be time well-spent in nurturing herself so she can better nurture a healthy family.
The group will begin by looking at a book called Grace Based Parenting by Dr. Tim Kimmel, founder of Family Matters Ministries. The study will explore a refreshing new style of parenting that mirrors God's love, reflects His forgiveness, and displaces fear as a motivator for behavior thereby creating a solid foundation for growing morally strong and spiritually motivated children.
