Motorcyclist Flees From Darien Cop: Police

The police found the man and the motorcycle a day later, according to a report.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Fleeing from officer

  • Jhony Hernandez, 28, of Bolingbrook, was arrested about 11 p.m. May 17 on charges of fleeing from an officer, driving an uninsured car, speeding 26 to 34 mph over the limit, having no valid car registration and violating his driver's license classification. Police said an officer saw Hernandez speeding on a motorcycle 58 mph in a 30 mph zone at Lemont Road at 83rd Street. Hernandez sped past Janes Avenue in Woodridge without stopping for the officer. About 6:30 p.m. the next day, police found Hernandez and the motorcycle in the 400 block of Plainfield Road. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • Rayshad Harris, 26, of Chicago, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. May 18 on Lemont Road at the Interstate 55 ramp on charges of DUI, driving with a revoked license, driving with no insurance and failing to yield turning left. Police said he was in a crash involving injuries. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Francisco Lopez, 45, of Woodridge, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Nantucket Drive on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. Police said Lopez crossed over the center boundary line four times on 75th Street from Fairview Avenue to Nantucket. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Matthew Kline, 29, of Orland Park, was arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday on Lemont Road on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. Police said Kline swerved into the middle lane and onto the shoulder more than 10 times while driving south on Interstate 55 approaching Lemont Road. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Retail theft

  • Alexandru Cantemir, 35, of Woodridge, was cited about 1 p.m. Saturday at Brookhaven Marketplace, 7516 Cass Ave., on a charge of retail theft not exceeding $300. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Warrant

  • Tony McCallum, 37, of Chicago, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. May 18 on Lemont Road on a warrant charging failure to appear in court. Police said he was speeding 59 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was given a warning for speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
