DARIEN, IL — A resident on Darien Club Drive is warning residents about the theft of Christmas decorations.

"Just wanted to let you know they are stealing Xmas decorations around Darien Club," resident Danny Carnet said in a Facebook message to Darien Patch. "(Sunday night) between 7:07 and 7:10 p.m., part of our Nativity set was stolen from our front yard. This is terrible. We have been trying to create joy in the neighborhood, and stuff like this happens."

The Virgin Mary part of the scene was stolen. A neighbor's doorbell video documented that someone in an SUV committed the theft, Carnet said.
