No Stolen Guitar At Darien's Q Bar: Owner

DARIEN, IL – No guitar was stolen last month from Q Bar, 8109 S. Cass Ave., despite a report to the contrary, the bar's owner said Wednesday.

Police reported a guitar valued at $200 was stolen during the late morning or early afternoon of July 22 at Q Bar.

In a message to Patch, owner Bob Taft said a School of Rock show was held at the bar that day. One of the children left the guitar behind, Taft said, so the owners of School of Rock brought the instrument back to the school.

"The mom of the kid freaked out and called the police," Taft said. "It was returned the next day."
