Pacing Woman In Darien Draws Attention, Arrested
A worker pointed an officer to the woman, who was later taken to jail, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Drug possession
- Shortly after midnight Sunday, an officer was approached by an employee at the Speedway gas station at 7502 Cass Ave. The employee said a woman had been pacing outside for an hour and had not come into the store. The officer asked the woman outside whether she was fine. The officer determined the woman had a Cook County warrant for her arrest. The 47-year-old Chicago woman was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Sleeping driver

- An officer was called about a person sleeping in a running car about 7 p.m. Aug. 6 at Walgreens, 7516 Cass Ave. A 54-year-old Downers Grove man was arrested on a DUI charge. He was given a court date and then released.
Disturbance, DUI
- Police were told about a disturbance about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Speedway gas station at 10250 Lemont Road. They were directed to a car leaving Speedway. An officer caught up to the car and noticed an expired registration. A 22-year-old Chicago woman was arrested on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana, an expired registration, driving with a suspended license and driving an uninsured car. She was given a court date and then released.
