Package Stolen, License Suspended: Darien Blotter
Darien Police reports through Dec. 5.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Nov. 30
- A package containing a sewing machine was stolen from a driveway sometime between 4 p.m. Nov. 28 to 11 a.m. Nov. 29. Loss is $100.

- The victim forgot her wallet in the dressing room at Walmart, 2189 75th St., and it was stolen at 10:30 a.m.
Dec. 3
- Cash from a mailbox was stolen sometime between 6:44 a.m. and 8 a.m. in the 8300 block of Ripple Ridge Road. Loss was $1,400.

Dec. 5
- Akeila Martin, 19, of Aurora, was arrested at 1:45 a.m. in the 7900 block of Lemont Road for driving while license suspended and speeding. Martin was processed and given a court date of Dec. 27 at Downers Grove Traffic Court. Martin was transported to DuPage County Jail on two failure to appear warrants one from DuPage County and another from De Kalb.
