Poll: Should Darien Gas Stations Sell Hard Liquor?

The city recently denied an application from the Circle K gas station convenience store on Lemont Road to sell bottled hard liquor, Mayor Kathy Weaver said at Monday's City Council meeting.

Circle K, like other gas station stores in Darien including , is already licensed to sell packaged beer and wine.

Weaver asked the council if they supported her decision.

"I agree," said Ward 1 Alderman Ted Schauer. "We sell beer and wine at gas stations, and that's where it should be left at."

No one else on the council had any comments.
