Porch Pirates Steal Packages In Darien

DARIEN, IL — Police in Darien are looking for a suspect or suspects who stole packages from outside a resident's home. The incident took place in the 6700 block of Clarendon Hills Rd. on Dec. 21.

According to a police summary, the packages were stolen in broad daylight at approximately 12:30 p.m. The "porch pirates" as these types of thieves are often called, stole packages that contained clothing items valued at $145, the victim told police.
