Preschool Enrollment & Open House Mark 50th Year

The 2019-2020 academic year marks a milestone anniversary for St. John Lutheran Early Learning Center (ELC) at 7214 South Cass Avenue in Darien, IL. For 50 years, it has been providing quality Christ-centered early childhood education.

The school is part of the largest Protestant school system in the United States operated by The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). The LCMS has a network of nearly 2,000 preschools, elementary schools and high schools.

The ELC offers caring classes where every child is seen, heard, and appreciated for their uniqueness and where a love of Jesus and others is nurtured. Foundational learning for early social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development is fostered. The school strives to establish a strong home-school connection that encourages and supports families. Flexibility within programs allows the preschool to better meet the individual needs of each child and their family.

Open enrollment for 2019-2020 begins on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Individuals who register before February 28, 2019 will be entitled to an Early Bird Discount of $25 on the non-refundable registration fee which is normally $85.

To mark the observance of National Lutheran Schools Week, St. John Lutheran ELC will host an Open House on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will provide community members the opportunity to tour the school’s DCFS-licensed facility, meet the licensed staff, and hear about the exciting half-day programs offered along with before- and after-school extended care and enrichment classes.
