Purse Stolen, Domestic Battery: Darien Blotter

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Warrant

• Mayra Chivata, 25, Berwyn, was arrested at 3:34 p.m. July 14 in the 2000 block of Manning Road for a warrant from another agency, driving on an expired license and speeding. Chivata was processed and
  posted bond on warrant. Chivata was given a court date of Aug. 22 at McHenry County Government Center. Chivata was assigned a court date of Aug. 17 at Downers Grove Traffic Court for driving on expired license and speeding.

Driving While License Suspended

• Dayjah Birion, 18, Woodridge, was arrested at 12:32 a.m. July 15 at 72nd and Fairview Avenue for driving while license suspended, disobeying a traffic control device and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Birion was processed and released with a court date of Aug. 3 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

• A vehicle window was smashed out and a purse containing a wallet was stolen sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. July 15 at Lace School, 7414 Cass Ave. The total loss is $516.

Domestic Battery

• Eric Reed, 42, Chicago, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. July 16 in the 7200 block of Clarendon Hills Road for two counts of domestic battery. He was transported to DuPage County Jail.
