Q Bar Owner's Darien Role Up In Air
This is after the owner made vulgar comments online to an opponent of video gambling.

DARIEN, IL – The owner of Darien's Q Bar serves on a city committee, but his continued participation is in question.
On Thursday, Patch emailed to ask Mayor Joseph Marchese whether he still had confidence in Robert Taft as a member of the city's Economic Development Committee. This follows vulgar comments the bar owner made on Facebook this week.
In response, Marchese said, "I will reserve judgment, until I meet with Mr. Taft."

The committee was set to meet next Thursday, but it was delayed a week.
On Thursday, Patch published the comments that Taft wrote to an opponent of video gambling in Downers Grove. Taft wants such gambling in the neighboring town, where there is another Q Bar.

In his Facebook comments, Taft called the gambling foe a "f------ loser" and the man's wife "a pig," questioned why the man hadn't taken his own life and bragged about how much more money he made than the man.
Taft responded to Patch's inquiry for its story Thursday. He pulled the plug on his Facebook page, apparently after the fallout from the comments.
