Reckless Driving, DUI: Darien Blotter

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Retail Theft

• Aundria Williams, 42, of Willowbrook, was arrested at 12:35 p.m. Sept. 6 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., for retail theft. Williams was charged with retail theft and released, court date to be assigned.

Driving While License Suspended

• Gary Haynes, 48, of Clarendon Hills, was arrested at 4:35 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 6900 block of Cass Avenue for driving while license suspended. Haynes was processed and released with a court date of Oct. 19 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

DUI

• Elizabeth Mizerka, 52, of Coal City, was arrested at 1:03 a.m. Sept. 8 in the 6800 block of Cass for DUI. Mizerka was processed and given a court date of Oct. 10 at DuPage County Judicial Center.

Reckless Driving

• A 16-year-old male from Darien was charged with reckless driving, speeding 35 mph+, failure to reduce speed and improper lane usage. An officer observed a vehicle in the 8000 block of Lemont Road on Sept. 8, and radar showed the vehicle to be going 110 mph in a 40mph zone. The offender was released to a parent, court date to be assigned.
