Rep. Sandack Reacts to Democrat Decision to Ignore House Procedure for Budget

Yesterday, the House Chamber of the Illinois Capitol was transformed into a political stage, where process and procedure were ignored in exchange for political games. House Republicans refused to participate in the Democrats’ attempt to divide, rather than unite the members of the House, and voted “Present” to a series of budget amendments that were inserted into a budget bill that bypassed the House committee process and ignored the good faith negotiations that have been taking place on a FY16 spending plan for the state.

House Republican Floor Leader Ron Sandack (R-Downers Grove) expressed his disappointment during comments made during debate on the House floor.
