Residential Burglary, Domestic Battery: Darien Police Reports

Darien Police reports through Feb. 7.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Residential Burglary

  • Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 7400 block of Brookdale Drive at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 31 for a burglary to residence. Entry was possibly made by forcing the front door open. Several items were reported missing.

  • Officers were dispatched to a property damage accident involving a school bus at Plainfield and Clarendon Hills roads at 11:20 a.m. Feb. 2. The kids on the bus were not injured. The other vehicle, a white sedan driven by a male, left the scene prior to officer arrival.

Driving While License Suspended

  • Richard Young, 38, of Country Club Hills, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. Feb. 3 at Steak and Shake, 2109 75th St., for driving while license suspended. Officers reported to the restaurant for a battery in progress, but no charges were filed for the battery. Young was processed and released with a court date of March 22 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

Domestic Battery

  • Dovile Kaspustinaite, 29, of the 7500 block of Country Lane; and Marius Noreika, 40, of the 7500 block of Country Lane, were arrested at 8:29 p.m. Feb. 3 for domestic battery. Both were taken to DuPage County Jail.

No Driver's License

  • Cristian Gonzalez, 24, of Chicago, was arrested at 6:18 a.m. Feb. 6 at 103rd Street and Lemont Road for no valid driver's license, driving too fast for conditions and improper lane usage. Gonzalez was processed and released with a court date of March 15 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.
