Retail Theft, DUI: Darien Cops

A woman tried to steal more than $300 in items from a local store, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Retail theft

  • Isha Wilkins, 28, of Villa Park, was cited about 4 p.m. March 20 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of attempted retail theft over $300. She walked past the last point of sale with a cart full of unpaid items. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

DUI

  • Starr Williams Weatherspoon, 32, of Schaumburg, was arrested about 4 a.m. Friday at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of DUI, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and possession of open alcohol by a driver. Police said she was stopped for speeding 63 mph in a 45 mph zone. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

Warrants

  • Audrone Ernestas, 58, of Woodridge, was arrested about 5 p.m. March 22 on a DuPage County warrant charging contempt of court. Police said Ernestas was stopped for speeding in the 8800 block of Cass Avenue. She was issued a warning for the speeding violation. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Mohamad Alkhawandi, 27, of Westmont, was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Saturday at 67th Street and Clarendon Hills Road on a DuPage County warrant charging failure to appear in court for traffic violations. He was issued a warning for speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
